Mail order service
It is our belief that people should have access to the wider selection of plant varieties available in the wholesale sector, if not at trade prices then at a reasonable cost. Much of the time the unusual/ desirable plants are already fully grown and are therefore uneconomical. We know many of our buyers are experienced growers themselves, and are capable of bringing on a younger (lower cost) specimen. We will aim to provide quality plants sent by next day or 2 day delivery from March to November as a regular service, and will consider requests out of season on an individual basis. We are always happy to answer questions from any buyers regarding cultivation and can advise on variety selection for different sites. *Covid-19 is affecting postage times due to high demand*
How to buy
A webshop just isn't feasible, as our stock is so fast moving that I would find it impossible to to constantly update stock levels and do my job properly!
When you know what you would like, email your list to us and we can advise on whether it is in stock, and if so, let you know the size and price so you can make a decision. Once you make your final decision we can give you a total price with an option to pay via bank transfer or Paypal. Cheques are accepted but they will have to clear before items are posted out.
A general guide to our pricing is: small plants (7-9cm pot) are £3.50-£4, medium plants (1litre pot) are £4.50-£5.50. Larger plants range from £6.50 (2litre pot) upwards. Difficult to source or very slow growing varieties may be more.
Delivery
Charges The Royal Mail is now not working for us due to the lengthy postage times currently. We have switched to APC couriers, who are a local efficient company well used to carrying plants. Charge per parcel is £8- This will fit a lot of plants into the same box, far beyond what the Royal Mail will carry. Small purchases will revert to the regular first class Royal Mail once the current situation is more settled. To clarify, as it has been queried, we don't make anything from this charge, time spent discussing your purchase, time spent packing it up, time waiting for parcel collection and printing/packaging costs (tape etc) is included with your plant price. As we get more mail order business, the charges will reduce slightly and this will be passed straight on to the customers.
